Pittsburgh born and bred, Attorney Jack Goodrich is widely regarded as a “trial lawyer’s trial lawyer” and is affectionately known as the “Pittsburgh Legal Bulldog.” He is principal of Jack Goodrich & Associates, P.C. and a past president of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. Jack’s practice includes personal injury with a concentration on head trauma and vehicular accidents including wrongful death and complex civil personal injury litigation. He has successfully represented and/or tried multiple dram shop, product liability, auto, trucking, and motorcycle accidents, premises, medical malpractice, and workers’ compensation cases. Additional practice areas include Social Security Disability, wills, and estates.

Notably, Jack obtained one of the largest settlements ever ($15.6 million) against a bar/restaurant for negligence in over-serving a driver who caused substantial injuries to innocent victims. He also tried one of the first DNA-related cases and conferred with experts involved with the O.J. Simpson trial. Nationally, he earned distinction as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by “The National Trial Lawyers” organization. He maintains an “A V” Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the gold standard in national attorney ratings for both legal abilities and ethical standards. He is recognized by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys as a Top Ten Attorney in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for excellence in the field of personal injury.

Jack is a former Chair of the disciplinary board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, where he dedicated his efforts to maintaining the integrity of the legal profession.

Jack was born and raised in Pittsburgh. He holds a business degree from St. Francis University and a law degree from Duquesne University School of Law.

Lauren R. Nichols is an associate attorney with Jack Goodrich & Associates. She is highly regarded for her practice expertise in plaintiff’s personal injury litigation, including all aspects of motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and dram shop actions. She has also handled Workers’ Compensation and Social Security disability matters on behalf of claimants since the beginning of her career. Ms. Nichols served from 2017 – 2023 as a Hearing Committee member for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. She is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, limited to attorneys who have won million-dollar verdicts and settlements. She was selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2020 and 2021 and as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in 2023.

Ms. Nichols is a graduate of the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Bar Leadership Initiative class of 2021-2022. She has served as a council member with the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Section since 2022. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice’s Board of Governors and serves as the Western District representative of the PAJ’s Women Leaders Section. From 2017-2022, Ms. Nichols served on the Board of Directors for the Bloomfield Development Corporation. She was elected Secretary of the Board in 2018 and served as Chair for the Board from 2019-2021. She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice.

Ms. Nichols is a western Pennsylvania native, born and raised just outside of Uniontown. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in history and political science. While at Pitt, she was a member of the University Honors College. Additionally, Ms. Nichols is a 2012 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Nichols was a member of the Pi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, and she completed a legal research fellowship through the Barco Law Library. She was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the Western District of Pennsylvania in 2012.

She lives in the City of Pittsburgh with her husband.
